Me too. I just returned from 2 days at the beach with my best friend and her 2 kids. She has a 6 year old DD and a 15 month old DS. The girls got along fabulously, my DD got a glimpse of what it is like to have a little brother around.

This is my best friend from elementary school through college. We both delayed having kids - we were the last of all of our friends to get pregnant. I caught her complaining about the demands of a baby and all I could think was "she has no idea just how lucky she is".

In many ways I think my friend just had a more positive outlook on getting pregnant again. Her attitude was if it happens it happens, if it doesn't then..she still has her daughter.

And then when she became pregnant, she would leave messages for me asking where I was in my cycle...like it would happen that easily for me too. It was a very painful time for me.

Interesting, I definitely felt some hormonal good feelings when I was with this baby..I'll keep trying..for now.

I honestly think the more time you can spend with babies and small children and pregnant women the more likely it is that some molecular madness in one's body says Hey, let's do THAT! Stay hopeful. Keep holding other people's babies...

I just got mail from the St. Martin de Porres shrine and I remember that I got pregnant with my son weeks after sending them some $$. I like St. Martin -- he was a great saint for people who love animals, children and have a sensitivity towards multi-cultural experiences and individuals.

to newone,

I agree with Isabelle. Reading her post made me realize how much time I spent with babies and young children when I got pregnant with DS.

I pray you get your wish.
